TriO
the drawing shed
TriO sits within The Sunken Garden Community Orchard on Attlee Terrace housing estate in Walthamstow E17. TriO's three spaces are fully accessible: Garden Shed- an all-season community, cultural and arts space for community celebrations, artists residencies and workshops, Garden Store-a store for tools & equipment and Garden Bed-a small mobile platform for performance, rest & play.
Using honest construction and sustainable prefabricated elements, community consultation and participation were central to the project ethos. This extends the drawing shed’s approach in developing The Sunken Garden with residents from the local community in 2017.

Profile
TriO was delivered by the drawing shed, with Alex Spicer and Sahra Hersi, underpinned by the expertise of an established East London architectural practice, Matthew Lloyd Architects in collaboration with Risner Design who brought TrIO to life. The generosity of spirit, breadth of knowledge and depth of experience in co-producing buildings and places within which communities can come together and thrive is what this partnership is all about.
